Obama campaigned on bringing change to DC while running a campaign on corporate and union's money. Now he's shying away from criticizing a lot of programs and businesses for their failures. I see his speeches and he truly suckers people in with everything people want to hear with wide generalizations and hopeful rhetoric. It's disingenuous and is in no way "change". It's exactly what the republican "revolution" is, which falls back on old tired ideas that weren't electable, but is now branded "new".

Obama needs to start accomplishing little things that everyone can agree on, and not what pundits will criticize regardless of his actions.

What I saw on Fox was two sound bite video clips of a politician. Context manipulated to support the platform of the "reporter" (I use that term loosely), who, consistent with the dictates of his network must attack any Democratic party member.

FOX is FAR better than any other newws source. There's absolutely nothing wrong with pot stirring. Specially when 90% or so of what they report is truth.

Beck, with his teary histrionics and willing distortions of facts for the sake of expediency appeals to the lowest common denominator of viewer. Just because he is right sometimes doesn't make him worth a shit. I can be right 50% of the time just by flipping a coin. By going after both sides, he is attempting to widen his viewer base, which is understandable, given the complaints of sponsors that they aren't getting enough bang for their buck.

I heard Beck's diatribe on Fascism. The one where he bleated that American Fascism (he uses the term incorrectly, by the way) began with Woodrow Wilson. His proof? The issue of the Mercury dime in 1916, which has a little symbol called the fasces on it. This, according to Beck, is evidence of Wilson's desire to convert the country into a Fascist state. Never mind Fascism as a political movement hadn't even been founded yet...

Of course, a month ago it was "OMG we're turning into a Communist society".
