They were thinking of the $$$$$$$

Even though I hate them, they did sell quite a good number of them...at least it appears that way....seeing them at every street corner...

You press the gas in that car and your able to sing a melody before that turns into any sort of acceleration.

pull it out into the light and have another look. That is if it can be moved under its own power. it will give you a chance to clean up the sea of coolant and oil under its rusted floorpans

I remember the alloy wheels were horrible. The cheap chome shit would flake off and I would always cut myself on it when mounting tires. And the short 10 second drive to pull it in the shop resulted in the interior rattling apart.

    Ugh.

My band teacher used to drive one... Bad luck happened with that thing; it got keyed and had a brick thrown through the window. Last year he gave up and traded his wifes charger for a e46 sedan and got himself a z4 with a hard top. Ballin Band teacher now lol

My sister hates them. She used to work on the import docks where they recieve foreign cars, and about half of the pt cruisers needed some kind of work on them before being allowed to pass through. Mostly a dead battery but non the less.

By the way, I thought "cruiser" was slang for a gay guy.

The PT Cruiser has the floorpan and suspension of the 2000 Neon, which was a lousy car. Back in 1999 I was commissioned to create the Canadian advertizing campaign. I was handed the keys of a Neon for a few weeks so that I can test "how good the car was". The car stayed in the agency's basement until I came up with all the concepts and executions. I wanted to keep my illusions about how great the Neon 2000 was supposed to be... Was I glad I did it this way. After I approved the mock-ups and boards, I drove the car. Ouch. Very, very bad car. Even my GF who knew yadda about cars found the thing sucked big time.

Sadly, my concepts were quite good as Chrysler sold a lot of Neon 2000 in Canada. I apologize for that... The PT Cruiser couldn't be any better than the Neon, plus the ugly looks.

there are tons and tons of appliance cars out there that are 100x better than the pt cruiser. it is the definition of a thrashy, plastic shitbox.

My 35 year old highschool principle drove one from what I remember.
Nobody liked him. And that was before they knew what he drove.
