Had some fun today with some new time lapse software, check it out!

thats awesome. Would love to do this with a major project like a complete motor swap or car restoration.

With about an hour of breaks between the end of the USA Canada hockey game, and other various smaller ones, about 8 hours. I'm betting we can get it down to six if we worked the whole time, and didn't have to spend so much time on cleaning/troubleshooting. Things always go faster when you do them more, too... So realistically, it should be about six next time.

Like I said earlier, about eight hours with some substantial breaks. We weren't adjusting the valves, since they had recently been adjusted, and I'm guessing it would have been easier to adjust them when the head was installed.

Oh, we were installing new intake and exhaust manifold gaskets. That was one thing that was much easier to do outside of the car. I highly recommend removing the head with the intake manifold attached, it makes things a lot easier, and you don't have to buy gaskets for it (I had some lying around, so I slapped them on anyways).

The software is istopmotion. We would have put it on a workbench, but A. it is fairly narrow, and B. it still had oil in it, and we didn't want to get the workbench all slippery.

Regarding the transmission, we may be putting it into Luke's (1990e30325i) car (he was the one that called you about it/came and picked it up with me). His car is an auto (the vert is a five speed) and his tranny is acting up. We're kinda seeing if it gives out one day, or if it just needs a fluid change or something. So, in short, it is still in his garage, but it should be going in a car pretty soon.
