Any CAD managers here at R3V?

Trying to run "Autodesk Asset Locator" on my domain to get a networked vs. standalone license count for AutoCAD installs.

The product runs and pulls info from the PC's but crashes every time before a report can be generated.

I'm running Windows7 Pro 64bit. Have also tried to run it on XP Pro 32 bit machines with the same outcome (both of which are supported OS's).

FYI - I do have domain admin rights on my network which is required to run it on Win7.

If anyone has any successful experience with this program, please help me out!

    Thanks!

sorry man, but it was a nightmare getting ACAD 2010 installed on our network here. Getting the deployments to install properly on the desktops was a pain. We eventually had to call in outside support for some of the stuff. Autodesk makes things really difficult.

Oh the beauty of app packaging and deployment, and lack of standards between app. developers.... sigh. Just curious what are you guys using for remote deployment hp radia, sms, sccm or something else? Does acad still use 'dongles' for verification?

We have used login scripts in the past few upgrades. It worked well for the most part. We don't get too fancy as we only have about 40 people in our engineering dept.
I don't get involved with those things too much, I'm more on the PC side of it.
I'll build the install image, but don't get involved too much in the way of deploying it.
I support the user's software, hardware, licenses, and about everything in between.:)

            Fuck AutoCAD, DWGeditor, ect.

            For real...:???:

I only use either to create .dxf's for laser cutting sheet metal parts I design in 3D or electrical schematics, and that's enough to make me ask why AutoCAD is so retarded and thankful I don't have to use it every day.
