I actually had a lady in a Prius signal me to roll down my window in traffic one day. Thinking something was wrong I did. She leaned out and yelled "GAS HOG!!!!" at me in the bitchy-est loud voice she could muster.

I'd probably grin and downshift, but I tend to do that whenever I'm next to a prius anyway. Bonus points for cutting her off and pulling a brakestand at the next light.

Ok - how many people here have ever driven a Prius? I used to make fun of them until i drove one. More solid than any e30 I've ever driven, including my own...and they are actually quite a fun little car. Very roomy. In fact my dad has owned 3 of them. Before you bash he...and or I...he also owns an Escalade, E55 AMG and a 64 E-Type coupe. He commutes a long way to work and they have surely proven valuable. He has never had an issue with one. Call him a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles if you want, he'll just pull out his ZR-1 and hand you your ass. Peace



Best part about it, my old man lives in Santa Rosa and commutes to Hayward. He has probably passed you in the HOV lane on 101 or 880 while you were sitting in traffic. Another benefit

I would rather have a Honda Civic Hybrid over a Prius because I can both use it as a real car and dont have to turn into a douche to drive one. It looks like every other civic out there.

THIS is why I fucking hate Priuses. They had to make them as different looking from every other car as possible, so everyone would know you were driving a PRIUS. No, they couldn't do the economical thing and put the drivetrain in a Corolla or a Camry, they had to design and an entirely new platform for it. And while I know they're doing that now, those people that bought a Prius would NEVER own one, because then people won't recognize right away that they're driving a hybrid.

Ive driven a prius. While they have a decently solid chassis and are great citycars I would never have thought of describing them as "fun." Also, the rearward visibility is shit-tastic.
