That's exactly how I felt after I watched my Emma drive away. Luckily, she comes to visit me quite often.

I wasn't expecting so many people to "get" this letter. My cousin called me up and asked what I was doing... I told her, "writing an email to my car," and she promptly hung up. Seems people here are just as crazy as I am. Haven't yet figured out if that's comforting or just creepy. After all, I'm crazy enough for the both of me.

I felt the same way when I parted out and cut up my black car. She will live on though in pieces all over the country.

:( It has to do with hotties. You see, I had to give three of them a ride last weekend, and I was suddenly very aware of the car's faults: namely, the fact that it only had two doors, the dents all around, and the fading paint. If I dropped the S52 into this one, I'd have to keep it. I figured it was time to let her go and find a nice clean 4DR.

I'm staying in the family, btw. My next car will still be an E30, but 4 doors and better paint. Bonus if the color is of the monochrome variety (white, silver, delphin, or black). Keep your eyes peeled for me.

P.S. I kept the license plates and just put down a deposit on a 60k mi S52 & ZF. ;)

In the context of this thread, that was disturbing.

Wow, after i read that. this is seriously how i felt/feel after selling one of my E30s.

even when i sold the E32/E36 i forgot about them in a matter of seconds, but e30s are always on my mind.

i actually feel like crying after reading that.

Glad that i kept my car or i will be doing the same rightnow :) can't wait to have it back.

This is a great letter. I can totally relate. My coupe may be on the chopping block due to driveway space and I will prolly sob like a little kid if I kick her to the curb. The cabrio looks great for her age...and looks even better with her top off! :pimp:
