Man.... 80% of you guys listen to really weak shit. I don't understand what happened to music now a days. Everyone likes this stupid teeny bop "lets get waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesed up" music or some weak shit talking about waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesing bitches, getting drunk, and being a loser. Now in my defense, I live with a few homies who produce/engineer for the lil ASAP Rocky, Ferg, those kiddie guys. 90% of the time I can't stand listening to that shit, its all about sales and pumping out the next CD to collect cheddar. The record companies games are playing you fools hard with this worthless radio horse shit. Only a few of you guys listed a few good artists. I'm not trying to step on toes or talk shit but this thread lacks real good music. What happened to listening to something uplifting or something that'll make you think? Completely agree, It's sad how the quality of musics declined. I used to kick it with some hood ass dudes and even some of them; years ago, were listening to whatever was on the radio. Trendy sells plain and simple. If its got a catchy beat and a stupid trendy chorus it sells. Being "Different" is the thing yet everyones still lookin the same.

it's just the sad truth. Gotta climb over the bullshit to find the real music.
I wish it wasn't that way. All music is on a harsh decline I feel, for these exact reasons.

The only new rap I like these days is DOOM, some chip tha ripper, freddie gibbs, and new hieroglyphics.

People are ignorant, and the fact that they say "damn dis shyt go hard" , about the most simplistic rhyme scheme and cookie cutter subject matter just proves that the majority of rap 'artists' these days are bullshit sellouts marketing to the masses.
I've also noticed that young aspiring rappers that I know through friends and an ex, are complete garbage. My friends and I can rap 10 times better with more style and flavor and less false claiming than these punk beezies who spend hours in a studio to produce the weakest shit ever. Suburbian kids man, they suck.
