Palin's Church Severely Damaged by Arson

ANCHORAGE, Dec. 13 -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's home church was badly damaged by arson, leading the governor to apologize Saturday if the fire was connected to "undeserved negative attention" from her campaign as the Republican vice presidential nominee.



Damage to the Wasilla Bible Church was estimated at $1 million, authorities said. No one was injured in the fire, which was set Friday night while a handful of people, including two children, were inside, according to James Steele, the Central Mat-Su fire chief.
He said the blaze was being investigated as an arson. Steele said he didn't know of any recent threats to the church, and authorities did not know whether Palin's connection to the church was relevant to the fire.



"It's hard to say at this point. Everything is just speculation," he said.
Pastor Larry Kroon declined to say whether the church had received any recent threats.



Palin was not at the church at the time of the fire. She stopped by Saturday, and her spokesman Bill McAllister said in a statement that the governor told an assistant pastor she was sorry if the fire was connected to the "undeserved negative attention" the church has received since she became the vice presidential candidate Aug. 29.



"Whatever the motives of the arsonist, the governor has faith in the scriptural passage that what was intended for evil will in some way be used for good," McAllister said.



The 1,000-member evangelical church was the subject of intense scrutiny after Palin was named Sen. John McCain's running mate. Early in Palin's campaign, the church was criticized for promoting in a Sunday bulletin a Love Won Out conference in Anchorage sponsored by Focus on the Family. The conference promised to "help men and women dissatisfied with living homosexually understand that same-sex attractions can be overcome."



The fire was set at the entrance of the church and moved inward as a small group of women worked on crafts, Steele said. The group was alerted to the blaze by a fire alarm.

I'm sure my conservative colleagues are gonna end up hating me for this, and I have to approach this with caution. So, First of all I do not condone anyone, no matter what party, etc using racial slurs (and yes by definition Redneck is a racial slur too!) or any violent act physical or not. I also want to make known that the idiot tea partiers who do use any type of violence are wrong, and that liberals have a far worse record in recent history than any of these current imbeciles. Also I have been to quite a few rallies here in DC (although I don't consider myself a tea party person, I'm a libertarian,) I have yet to see any truly outright hateful acts. When Obama came to speak at Maryland I was there, I saw some guy dressed up as the Grim reaper and made fun of him for it. I've seen plenty of people with "Socialist" & "Marxist" signs at the 9/12 project. I've been to about 6 others and many of them being the largest rallies. Granted I was also here for a liberal rally in 2007 against Bush in which I literally watched people walk down the street with hanging effigies of Bush, signs outright saying "Kill Bush" etc. So the hypocrisy in my opinion is with the liberals going apeshit over something completely tame (although absolutely WRONG!) compared to things I have seen them do in person over the past couple years.

Now that my long as setup to my statement is finished....

In this video at the very end of the 35" and the beginning of the 36" you can hear a female voice in the background saying a word that can be attributed as "******", it is not clear, and it is absolutely possible that it is not "******" at all, but if you are listening for that word, that is the only place where I could say, yes, it was yelled at the congressman.

I listened numerous times and I honestly didn't hear it.

And I certainly didn't hear the claimed 15 instances and Cleaver lied about someone being arrested for spitting at/on him.

If any of this happened, it was probably by SEIU Union thugs masquerading as Tea Partiers.

But this is par for the course with the MSM as I posted above, the claims of people yelling "Kill him!" about Obama at a Palin rally that the Secret Service investigated and said it never happened, yet the MSM reported it as fact thru numerous news outlets.

Or in 2004 when the AP reported that people booed Clinton when Bush wished him well at a campaign rally after the news broke that he was hospitalized with a heart condition.

They report these allegations as if they are fact, yet they are never proven despite an audio and video presence at the events, and the lie becomes "fact" in some people's minds.

The tactic for the last several months has been to paint the Tea Party goers as being racists.

I hope the Dems pass ObamaCare.

The voters will remember this come mid-terms, and the SCOTUS will overturn it as unconstitutional since the government cannot force people to buy health insurance.

Lose/lose for the Dems, but their myopic tunnel vision and Obama's arrogance won't allow them to see the big picture, nor are they listening to their constituents as only 30% of those polled want this to pass.

But hey, Obama knows what's best for us despite the fact that the public overwhelmingly does not want this massive waste of money to pass.

The Dems will pay dearly at the polls in 2010, 2012 and for many years to come and the legislation will be ruled unconstitutional by the SCOTUS

Like liberal and conservative. Then we define those groups by sets of rules for each. Those rules are based on the small samples of evidence. That is the definition of a hasty generalization. Same goes the other way. The point of me posting all those "crazies" was to illustrate how the media ignores the "crazies" on the left, but doesn't hesitate to paint those on the right as "crazies" not on fact, but on unfounded allegations.

We have evidence of "crazies" on the left engaging in egregious behavior, yet the MSM turns a blind eye and a deaf ear.

Yet unfounded allegations of racism against the right are reported as fact, such as the shouts of "Kill him!" that one person, one, claimed occurred at a Palin rally and was reported as factual despite the fact that the Secret Service did a thorough investigation but could not find one person to collaborate the claim.

And now, the media is reporting these current claims of the "N" word being yelled at black congressman 15x, yet not one instance can be definitely heard on the video.

You would think that if it happened 15x, that it would be heard without a doubt on the video, but it isn't.

It's about the media and their bias and their irresponsible reporting.

And that irresponsible, biased reporting shapes and forms public opinion in many cases.

And they do it time and time again, yet they never print retractions or are held accountable for their character assassination.
