go with this. i used to work at a restaurant, one day a couple of framed pictures near the restroom were stolen, nothing major, but sentimental value to the owner, after a video review and reports check, they tracked the guys girlfriend down who paid for dinner with her card, fuckers got served haha, no pun intended.

I really don't see how this would be possible. I don't think we are able to see what store the man went into and I have no description of him at all. The people at the store would think I'm crazy, especially trying to figure out what happened two days later.

Right now I think my best chance is finding that van from the picture. Are any of you experts on Ford vans?

I can't imagine the ford dealership being any help either, the chances it was bought from or serviced at the dealership(and that the lazy ass at the counter would even recognize the van / waste his time helping me) are very slim.

That image is just a still from the video and thats as good as it gets. CSI magic is not possible, there is no way to get the license plate from the video.

There were two eye witnesses in the a pizza place there that saw the accident (literally 20 ft directly outside the full store front window) but they said they were unable to get the plate. They described this van and time exactly. I really wish they had gotten the plate off it for me.

Also while I was in a rush looking for camera footage/other witnesses right after the accident I lost track of the only witnesses I had they left before I got their information. Even if I'm able to find this van with a matching skuff on the bumper I don't know if ill even be able to make them pay.

That is an E250 Extended Passenger Van. The last digit of the license almost certainly appears to be a 9. I would file a police report and the DMV should be able to extrapolate the rest of the owner's information from the color, model (looks to be an early 2000's model) and the last digit of the plate.

Alos, the side mounted plate is uncommon, most of those vans have a plastic base, and the plate in the center of the bumper.


And, by the hubcaps, I'd say it's more likely that it's a mid to late 90's model.

No, I'm betting the resolution of the original image is just about as shitty as you can see here, there is no way to recreate something that isn't in an image to begin with.
