My wife and I are planning a trip this fall to England (along w/ her parents and brother and sister in-law). We don't want to rent a 2nd car while there, so we were thinking about renting a motorcycle and doing some day trips w/ out the others. Has anyone here rented a bike while abroad? If so, where, good or bad experience and would you recommend it? I think we'll be in the Birmingham area, so let me know what you got guys.

you should be fine, I drive on my nys license and I've had no problems at all. There are other states that the brit authorities accept and I think PA is one of them. Renting a bike shouldn't be a problem but be prepared to haggle them if they try to make you put some crazy deposit. Also, it should be reasonable considering the pound is falling and you wont be in uber-expensive london. fyi, £50=83.64 as of yesterdays withdrawal
