    Anybody ever sue?

My dad got a vaccine, I can't remember what for, by a typical shot in the arm. That same day, he started feeling significant discomfort/pain in his arm. About a month later, the symptons are still persistent. He's losing grip strength in his hand and it's generally wearing him down. This is bad because he is a general contractor (who actually builds).

An insurance, guy, not a money hungry lawyer, said that there is money for people who have had this shit happen. So, he and my mom are getting paper work started against the vaccine company.

Anybody else have something like this happen? If so, what's the usual result? Needless to say, we're all pretty pissed off.

Could have been the shot administrator too, then it would be medical malpractice or something.

Consult a doctor for the arm and a lawyer for the suit?

Did it ever occur to your dad to go back to where the vaccine was administered and ask if they had a solution?

^ i'm not privy to specific details but i know he's been to the doctor who gave the shot and he's investigated other causes for his pain. my mom is an RN so she knows for the most part how to interpret his symptons and so far it seems like his arm might be fucked. And you can't exactly just call up the vaccine company and say "fix it"

            i don't know, maybe i'm just posting b/c i'm mad about it.

That's scary shit, when you go in to get something fixed and come out more fucked up than before.

Good luck, I would say priority numero uno would be to diagnose and treat whatever the problem is, fuck the money, you can't get your arm back with all the money in the world.

I suggest you remember what he got the vaccine for. "i can't remember" is not really helping. If it was for a spider bit, the meds are not the problem. Try to remember you are asking a forum here.

i think when you go to the doctors office every patient signs a paper calle an "arbitration agreement" i believe this document prevents you from taking them to court and instead the dispute must be settled in arbitration...might want to look into that just incase a paper like this was signed.

im not really sure how those things work or what they really are, but i remember signing them.

                        This.

And I got some vaccinations when I was 17. Been healthy all my life. Got your standard vaccinations. I don't remember the next 3 weeks after. I was deliriously sick and slept upwards of 16+ hours a day. Lost 18 pounds. Wont do that again regardless of what the Government claims.

He signed a waiver before they were administered... he has no case. He wouldn't be able to file suit against the vaccine company anyhow, as the vaccine was approved after multiple human trials.

On a related note, one of the greatest days in modern medicine occurred last month; The Lancet (~JAMA of Britain) retracted that ridiculous Wakefield study. Congress also recently ruled against the thousands of active lawsuits claiming autism caused by vaccine preservatives.

I just don't get them anymore.
I get sick about once a year anyways.

I had a guy that I got work from who's wife got a shot and she ended up with serious Arthritis shortly thereafter. To the point where she couldn't work and medication didn't do much.
