So I bought an E30 from a fellow bimmerforums/r3v'er like a couple years ago. Not exactly sure on the date. Anyway I bought another one after that and I told my friend I'd sell my first one to him. Well when I went to register it when I bought it, I found out that the doucher that sold it to me hadn't registered it since like 2005 and if I wanted to get it registered I'd have to backpay all his shit. Plus it wasn't smogged. Cocksucker. :hitler:
Anyway, fast forward to today. I work during the week so I can't go to the dmv to get it registered. My friend doesn't have a car so he has no way to get down to my house to get the car and/or go to the dmv. I guess he's about to get a job in a week or two and needs a car, so I'm trying to figure out how to get this car ready to go.
He says if I just sign a note saying I sold him the car, he can take that to the dmv and everything will be fine. I call shenanigans. I'm thinking since I never actually registered it in my name, it's still under the PO's name, so my friend would need a signed note from that assbag.
So wtf, how can I get this thing smogged and registered legally?
