E28 524td seen today

i definitely want a 524td. just turn up the fuel pressure, and add a bigger turbo. instant fun.

I drove a brandnew 524 td in 1985 ,, and belive me
it was blinding quick in those days,,

i think one of the fastest saloon diesel in the world at that time

And keep in mind that time and performance is growing forward so please do not compare the m21 diesel to the new versions of IL 6 cyl diesel that can generate a gopsmacking output vs the older diesel

524 was a very cool car in those days

There is a guy from the local forum that has an 24d with an td engine + Gt20 52, turbo from audi a6 v6 tdi, and some other shit and it goes pretty well.

He is now selling engine and stuff to swap to an 330d e46 engine

Mind you that in the vid it has an 220 km/h speedo, not 240

There's a white one running around my area...it's the only 524td I've seen.

Oh I know, the modern diesels are a whole different story. Particularily the 335d and new X5 xDrive35d. Plenty of fun!

The one I drove was slow as balls and smelled bad.

try a modern Diesel from any manufacture, this is no longer the case at all
