500E as sleeper status? Yeah, unless you know...baby hammer!
E39m5? Sleeper? Um, no, I don't think so. Brawler is more like it, even stone cold stock.
Syclone/Typhoon, GN/GN-X, hell maybe even a GTA might qualify more than that Opel.
De-badged Lightning?Leave a comment:

a S50 E30 is not a production car but i do agree with you

An S50 E30 will make quick work of most production cars today, let alone in 1990. Dumb comparison.
I've always thought all M5s were very understated styling-wise, if you didn't know your shit generally only the big wheels would give it away.
Edit: and since that was just mentioned, how about the Lotus Carlton. It was really an Opel (German) but Lotus made the engine.
Not super understated, but I really like this car. 380hp 410ftlbs, TT 3.6 I6.
Here's a turbo Saab flat out trying to keep up with one:

The 500e could do it while you're on your way to some crazy German sex party, the chevy truck does it while on your way to get your mullet trimmed up for the beer pong tourney at the trailer park.Leave a comment:
