Grand Prix of Alabama - BMWs out in Force

Spent Friday-Sun at Barber Motorsport Park. Got amazing access to hot pits, track, paddock, garages and everywhere. Even got to eat lunch with one of the drivers and sit and talk BMWs and racing with him for over an hour. Was a great weekend! Enjoy the photos. BMWs were out in force!

She spun on lap 2... hehehe

I have some more shots of her as well. It would seem IRL grooms some females to try and work them into IRL.

I actually got a photo of her suiting up into full race gear while in the hot pits. She gave me a really dirty look and turned around to face track and finish getting ready for the practice session.

I love watching Turner Motorsports at Limerock. They usually place well, how did they finish?

M6 finished 6th in Grand AM GT
M3s finished 3rd and 5th in Conti Tire Series

            VERY good results.

Fall-Line finished 4th, 6th and 13th. The amazing thing about this is the car that finished 4th(orange/black) started behind ALL of the cars in the field including all the ST cars. The car that finsihed 6th was just persistant. The car that finished 13th was running in the top 5 but a Mustang spun, took out Automatic M3(also started at back) and that m3 took out the Fall-Line M3. It got back on track and still finished 13th.

Was a good day to be rooting for BMW!(Dinan BMW Powered DP car won as well...)

No shit, Fall Line Motorsports is about ten minutes from my house. I had no idea they were a big deal.

Bimmerworld had pole in ST I believe and finished 5th and 6th if memory serves me right. Not bad considering they have been in the top 5 every race.

They got passed pretty early in the race but did quite well overall. The track was very slippery...

Wait where in Northbrook do you live? I lived there for 7 years... I will be in Northbrook for a week starting on Sunday.

I used to work at Fall-Line. Way before they were piloting 3 E92 M3s to 1st place in a national racing series!

Nice pics, I was there Sunday for the Indy race. I may be going back next month for the Legends of Motorsport series. I'm still blown away at how beautiful and well kept that track is.

Nice facility for sure! Interesting... might go down for that.

My brother said he thought Barber would be their worse track so a good result if that is true lol, VIR is coming up though and they should do extremely well there, I may go depending on how my finals situation goes.
