How to pronounce Oklahoma?

I swear, thru my several trips to this region, I heard it pronounced in two ways.

a) Oklahoma in one single breath
b) Okla (light pause) Homa. Only in certain specific occasions.

I have no idea why. How would you pronounce it?

you gotta move your head in a violent side to side motion when doing it tho....
