    .mpg to dvd software

    Is there free software to convert a MPEG file, etc. that I downloaded from the Internet into a regular DVD format so I can watch the movie on my DVD player??

              any dvd player made after 2007 supports divx playback, meaning your .avi files will work just fine. check the front for the divx logo
