Exactly. Alfred even called him on at one point, because he was making what he did personal. And he still always has. The lingering rage from the death of his parents has always affected his judgment. He's only one step away from being exactly what he hates, and it's been pointed out to him on more than one occasion, by more than just the Joker.

I think that's what makes him so cool. He is a normal guy. That and he works on both sides of the law, he breaks laws in order to do what will be the best in the end.

I always thought Superman was a bullshit superhero. Seriously, its like the kid in kindergarten who has to have every power while playing at recess, you can't have effing everything. Then they decided to throw in kryptonite last minute so he wouldn't be completely invincible. Superman should never lose but somehow manages to be beat sometimes, how hard is it to throw a giant rock at someone holding kryptonite from like a mile away. Batman kicks ass, nothing special about him but uses his resources to be a total badass.

You know whats funny though. When superman was first created, he was given way too many super powers, which they had to take away b/c he was way too invincible.

Plus, the superman vs doomsday saga was awesome. He could be hurt, but no one was strong enough until doomsday. Superman is just a different type of hero than batman. In fact i would say that they are eachother's opposites if you really think about it. Haha... sorry I was a huge superman comic book geek when i was younger. The superman you see in the movies is not the superman in comic books. And I think the batman you see in the recent 2 movies is not the batman you see in the comic books either. To me, the batman in the movies as whole is better than the comic books (at least lets say some series). And the superman in the comic books is a lot better than the movies.

missed my point. superman is invincible to EVERYTHING (except kyrptonite, not an earthly substance) that is his only weak point.

to me, a super hero has one theme when it comes to super pwoers... spiderman can do all the spider things, Flash Gordon is a fast mother fucker...is and is normal otherwise, still susceptible to earthly woes. essentially one power per superhero

superman, on the other hand, has infinite power and only one weakness. for this, i find him to be a completely impossible to relate to.

Yeah but thats also whats cool about him. He is not just a dude with one power, he is a different being all together. Plus he CAN be killed without kryptonite by another being thats just as powerful (Doomsday). So just b/c he is more powerful then spiderman and the flash (who by the way is faster than superman) doesn't mean he is a cheater superhero... hes just better :) . And to be honest, I dont think you are supposed to be able to relate to him... thats the point of superman.
