What Government agency uses the "Omega" symbol?

I work near a Marine corp air base, and just saw a huge gray passenger jet fly out of there at low altitude, with no markings other than the "Omega" symbol on the rear tail. It was flanked by 2 F/A 18 Super hornets, on escort duty I'm assuming.

Anyone have any idea what Agency or Branch of the gov. uses that symbol?

Ha ha I know right. I work right across the street from General Atomics, where they develop all the unmanned aerial drones. One will prob. blow my e30 up on the way to work tomorrow.

The Omega tanker is a privately owned aerial refueling tanker that contracts out for military service. They have two 707's they use to refuel, contracted by the US Navy.

Now give me a damn internet.

They had a booth set up at Tailhook, pouring free beer out of a model of their refueling drogue. (the part that passes gas.) And hot chicks. I love it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that the tanker had fueled them up over the Pacific somewhere, and they were all flying into some Naval Air Station in San Diego. It was not an escort, but more of a "carpool".
