I have a Compaq Presario C300 that will not come on and I need my music off of it. The guy at Best Buy told me it needs a motherboard and the only reason I'm considering it is because I have over $100 worth of music on that laptop on my iTunes. Is there a way to get to that music without a new motherboard? So I'm wondering if my music would be on a part of the computer I could have removed and downloaded from another computer or what have you? Thanks

lol on a part? you mean like the harddrive?
ya you can remove the harddrive from the laptop. go pick up a sata/ide to usb converter and plug the drive into a working computers usb port. then bam, you have access to all your files.Originally posted by george graves

Do what Underdog is saying. That will make your old harddrive just like any other external harddrive. You can connect that via USB to your new computer and migrate the files that way. If you're not familiar with an external harddrive it will work like a glorified flash drive.

you have to "authorize" the itunes account. Go to "store" ---> "authorize"

Disclaimer: iTunes is usually pretty shitty with me. Shit wont show up under "purchased" etc. So good luck to you sir.***Affordable Powder Coating Here:***
