makes you have so much more respect for ol' timers who served over there. My grandfather fought in Poland throughout the war including the uprising. Talking to him always gives the impression of receiving such sage wisdom.

I'll agree with you to a degree. It also seems these people (without detracting any credit to them) were also kind of thrown into the situation. Just a more black and white thing, not to start anything political just my opinion no matter how naive.

Great!
As movies go, I do like Band of Brothers better still, a lot more character development cause the 10 hours was start to finish as The Pacific kind of jumped between Sledge and Lechie a lot. So it was hard to get attached to the protaganist until like 5 episodes in.
Personally.. I love it. I have always had the utmost respect for Marines and have often felt that their story has never been properly told and is still not as understood as much as the European Theater.
Excited to see what Hanks inspired HBO WWII miniseries comes next. Perhaps something about the 8th Air Force?Originally posted by TeaguerFilling an Eta's tank with super unleaded will reach the cars maximum attainable performance level .

Chapter 8 was depressing as all hell. It was a great show...I'm sad its over. Will buy for sure, and I never buy.
