I need a kick ass raster to vector program

TraceArt and the like suck. At this point I am willing to pay for a good raster to vector image converter. Any suggestions?
Ma che cazzo state dicendo? :|

I've never see one that really works well. What you using it for?

Good old Adobe Streamline or any similar plug-in as found in Adobe Illustrator (LiveTrace). Both are available for Mac or IBM-compatible.

                Illustrator
File - Place image (chose file) - up top choose Live Trace - pick from like 10 presets or make your own.
                Works damn good.

CorelDRAW / CorelPOWERTRACE = done. AND far cheaper than the rest, last I checked.

Converting images into ones I can import to Acad thus turn into gcode.

I will check out coreldraw and the others first. I know illustrator is balls expensive.

There are programs that will take images right to g-code - tricky depending what you are milling. I think you can also import a raster graphic into auto cad and draw on top of it. Sort of like the way the old digitizer tablets use to do. What you milling?

Check out www.cnczone.com/ - tons of info there. I recently built my own 3-axis cnc for some gauge work, but haven't learned the software yet.

Im not milling anything, Im blanking with a 2d co2 laser system. Its going to be a custom biz card holder as a gift. 14 gage stainless.

So I am drawing the logo and a name free hand graffiti style. Then I need to scan it and save as raster. Then convert to vector. But I dont want sharp angles like TraceArt gives me.

Doens't matter what you're doing - that's all in the software.

You just asked tho what I was milling. So I was explaining.

But yea I know its in the post processor. Ive been running and servicing these for over 2 years now.
