You have to whack them some times, or even poke em with 50k volt cattle prod once in a while to get them to do what needs to be done. They are stubborn and sometimes dont feel any of that till next week. But for the most part much of that was rather gratuitous. What the owner was doing is fairly normal to get one up and moving, the rest of the shit is beyond what is considered normal. If they were my farm hands they would be down the fucking road. You dont stab them with pitch forks, and harm the udders. You dont need to beat them with a tire iron in the head repeatedly or puninsh a calf like that. Sure some times you have wrestle and hold them down to get meds in them or ear tags, or what ever else.

I grew up on a farm and worked on 2 different dairy farms, A 2x4 or a crop was all you needed 90% of the time and then you only need to whack em a few times. We did have one that was a HUGE PAIN in the ASS for pink eye shots and trying to get her through the shoots was an all afternoon deal even with a prod.

First off, I am a meat eater. Nothing better then a grilled burger or a steak.

The thing is, these fuckers are beating on the cows for their pleasure, not to get the cow to obey them. There is a BIG difference between commanding obedience and just being a violent douche. These guys are the latter.

These guys are scumbags. They were probably beaten or molested as children. What makes me sad is the fact that animal cruelty has a maximum sentence of only like 90 days in their state.
