        Pendulum is so-so and "real" dnb is much better, right?

        I really don't care. Just saying you're not sayin' shit I haven't heard a thousand times before. See the OP.

          Agreed, Sawka is the hightlight of this thread lol.

          Well, I've been listening to dnb/jungle for about 15+ or so years... got into it when the "mod scene" was popular, jungle beats and stuff were also done in "trackers" etc...but anyways, Pendulum has some cool tracks but they are have too much singing going on and sound too commercial. New tracks have similar sound from one to another too much imho.

          I don't think they are a FAD, but I don't see them being in it long term like some others.

          Like this track though:

          Now, go back and listen to their singles from 2003...some good stuff there.

          The Spiral and Ulterior Motive on lpo009, good stuff.

            Jeez with the douchebags in here. :p

            What they're doing is taking dnb and making it more mainstream (yeah yeah it's not dnb, we got it, but it's derived from dnb among other things). So what if they've got a similar sound? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I dig the vocals too, too many dnb remixes have squirrely vocals.

            Yay squirrely vocals! (this track is actually badass)

            It's probably a stylistic thing derived from the tempo increases, but dnb needs more normal vocals if you ask me.

              OMG.. that was horrible. But it only gets worse when you try and make it more mainstream. You should know this...try old dieselboy vs later stuff when he went more mainstream....

                Vocals = horrible

                Fuck-you-neighbors beat and the fact that it's Eurythmics = awesome

                Needs more examples. I don't know which tracks are early dieselboy and which are mainstream.
