Oh that's fancy, I'm not exactly a Pcar guy so I'm not even sure what the 99x means except that its the chassis code.

                That's pretty holy.
Anyone care to enlighten me how long Porsche has been using awd in their street cars?

I thought the 993 turbo S was just rear wheel drive.

The Turbo S took the engine from the RWD GT2 and mated it to the AWD system of the regular Turbo.

IIRC the 964 Carrera 4 was the first AWD 911, but the 964 Turbo was not AWD.

If it counts, the 959 was AWD and I think may have come out earlier than the 964 C4. But then again it was a full blown supercar.

The 959 came out in '86, the 964 chassis was '90 and up. The begining (and end) of the headgasket-less engines.

I wonder how that car compares with a GT2? I drove my fathers friends one was an awesome car to drive although it was much more twitchy on the rear than I expected.

Although I guess I'm not really used to road P Cars, last one I drove before this was this bad boy:

I drove side by side a with a GREEN 911GT3RS the other day, guy had earplugs and it had all the proper gt3rs things on it. Now, THAT is 911 I like... none of the AWD sillyness and it makes all kinds of special noises!

Actually I had to give chase when I saw it and we then drove from davis to sac side by side lolz.

About the time I think Porsche has gone all soft & lost their way, they come out with the GT3 RS and all is right in the world again.
