Then I decided to download some later episodes and got caught up with the current season.

Actually just went back and watched Face Off. I've seen enough here and there that I have filled in the blanks.

Great episode - obviously the Hank/Walt showdown is the headliner, but some great smaller scenes. Love Walt talking about maximizing air freshener sales - hilarious!

Ruin? Hardly, anyone with 2 synapses to rub together that watched near that point had to know Gus was dead. It was Walter or Gus & seeing as it is Walters' show he has to stay around until the near end at least.
