ever been brake checked for no reason? well today i was. but this wasnt your normal brake check. this one was worse because it actually ended with a result.
today i was on my way to work with my girl friend in her car. she was driving. we were cruising up this quiet road at about 60. in front of us was a shiny new merc. apparently mr benz felt we were following him a little to close and was threatend by beths corola. so he did what any man afraid of a womans tiny car would. he SLAMMED on the brakes to the point where smoke was rolling off all 4 tires. now i feel Bethany is a pretty good driver (well as good as any woman driver can be) she was paying attention and her reaction time was excellent. but being that its still a corolla she had no chance of stopping in time. due to oncoming traffic she couldnt swerve left. so she had to go right. right into a ditch. the car slammed head first into the dirt wall dug in and rolled. once over and once vertically (a flare if you will). being that i wasnt wearing my seatbelt :( the first thing to hit the windshield was the top of my head luckily i stayed in the car due to the roof caving. after coming to a stop and making sure she was ok. my first thought was to kill the driver of the benz. (who after coming to a complete stop and watching us roll past him had left). it was about then after trying to get the door open and failing. i realized how much pain i was in.
long story short. after 1 ambulance ride (plus hers) 5 hours in the ER 1 CAT scan 14 Xrays (plus her 4 for her arm) and approximately ten thousand dollars in medical bills plus her (7ish) and one toyota Corrola latter im finally home sore as all hell and tough to move but ok. as is my girl.
moral is. always stay on your toes, allow enough following room and never trust the cock-sucker in front of you. also maybe resist the urge to brake check people as the consequences can be more severe then they seem. or at least do it right!
several people told me today that i was lucky to walk away from it. when the police showed me pictures of it, they said i was lucky to be alive.
as seen here.
photos as promised. in the first post as well

thanks to all who took the time to read this and allow me to vent.
im also sorry for any typos i make as im on pain meds in addition to some greenery from my room mate
PS: to the driver of that car. fuck you. i hope to get cancer. your an embarrassment to the german owners and a pathetic excuse of a human.
cheers
Joe
