at that distance, i doubt you'll even hit the deer, trust me. 30-30's suck at longer distances. at 75yds, the bullet drops like a rock.

Don't have a .243. I guess I could just take the .308 out instead ;). Regardless, I'd feel overwhelmingly compelled to throw some heavy lead at that deer.
