No idea why I've never listened to meshuggah. I knew they were revolutionary, guess no one ever recommended them. Good shit.
Heh. Weird that BEHEMOTH is more known outside Poland than inside the country... Same thing with VADER.

And as far as the thread's question:
    hardrock - yes
heavy as hell, black, death, guts out and all over, brains on bbq, limbs flying, blood spraying metal - no thanks.

I was also in a band before that got sponsorship from the local rock stations, played at the Extreme thing here in Las Vegas, and opened for a and named Otep a couple years ago. It was exciting as hell!
funny story about COB, Anthony is really good friends with them, and they hang out when ever they are on the west coast. i never really listened to them at the time, so other than hearing them from Anthony i really didn't know.

one day i come home from work and Anthony and 4 guys were hanging out in my living room. turns out that COB was playing OzzFest(?) i think and came by to hang out. cool, funny guys too. hung out for a few hours then i went to the gym.

I'm more into the melodic stuff but I can appreciate some brain destroying chugs every once in a while
