Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.

It uses the same principle as an airplane uses to fly. Air passes over an airfoil shaped "wing" and is accelerated on one side due to low pressure. Yes, there is still a fan inside the unit, but it only directs air over the foil, so you don't get the "buffeting" he talks about.
I think it's a cool idea, but $300 for a desk fan is pretty ridiculous. I do really like their hand dryers though. Those things are rad.
