    Selling stock photography? Photography question!

I know a few people on here are professional photographers. My friend is starting to get into the field and has some pretty good photos.

I suggested that they sell the rights to them for a few extra bucks, but neither of us have any idea on how to go about doing that. I did a quick google on the topic and I found such sites as www.shutterstock.com it looks simple enough, but I don't know if this is a good way to go about it.

Has anyone used a service like this? Or could recommend something like it or better?

He can sign up to sell photos on cheap sites like istock.com (there are a bunch of different sites like that). Or try to get in with higher end stock photo sites like gettyone.com or veer.com. If he's really good & people are seeking out his services, he should get a rep. Lots of photographers and illustrators use those. I've worked with www.ba-reps.com/photography before.
