    ferrari F40 wrecked on Mullholland

Anyone remember an F40 wrecked on mullholand back in 2001? Just met with a guy for lunch yesterday trying to sell it. Took this long but the car is back together and set up as an F40 LM tribute car.

nothing digital at this point. Car is still in Italy. lawsuit between mechanic and owner. I met with mechanic, meeting with owner in a week or two, hope to be able to find an angle to make a couple of bucks.

So it's been bought at salvage, shipped to Maranello, (Or some private coachbuilder) to be overhauled and rebuilt to factory LM specifications, but the shop has it tied up due to legal issues?

Over 1000 F40's made, why start with a munted one?

I'd feel like a douchebag of epic proportions if I wrecked an F40.

                  They're a little expensive.

the owner was told it would only take 8 months and cost $100k to repair and they would be able to make $100k+ selling it. 2.5 years and $200k later and the owner still does not have car in his posession. Owner was scammed, He should keep the car and wait for the F40 market to come back up again, but the car makes him sick just to think about so he wants it gone

Doesn't sound like he was scammed, it sounds like the shop underestimated the job and parts availability which is almost guaranteed on a project of that caliber.
