Actually I'm using google chrome and it's up to date as far as I know. The lightning bolt isn't happening anymore... I kinda miss it :(

So I finally figured out what the "lightning bolt thing" was. I had my windows media player playing in the background and I had it set for random animation as the screen, so I guess for some reason when I logged the browser minimized for a split second and all I could make it in that short time was the windows media player screen with the random ass lightning bolt shapes and moving swirls.
