Will a bat take care of my spider problem?

Ive notice in late summer than anywhere a light shines on my siding or in my mud room is FULL of spiders. They are half dollar at the biggest but most average just under a quarter. Contact/Brake cleaner doesnt work like it does on horse flies and bees. In fact the spiders just shake it off. If I hold a MAPP torch about a foot away they curl up then die with their legs stretched straight out. But they are all over my siding. The white siding attracts every type of bug they eat and I cant change the bulb to a non bug attracting type because well its a streetlight. Normally I wouldnt care but they are coming in through the a/c units exploring the inside of my house. They end up dying because there are no bugs in my house but still its creepy to see 2 or 3 crawling up the walls.

    They arent this big

Anyways I was thinking of setting up a bat house. Will bat or two eat spiders off my siding or just what the spiders eat?

Bats dont eat spiders, just what spiders eat.

Spiders are good so long as they are on the outside. Are you really that afraid of spiders????

Not really they are just becoming a nuisance. Its like mice. Mice are cute but not in your house. I think what I want is birds.

sprinkle some Diatomaceous Earth all in the nooks and crannies in your mud room to help keep those fuckers from coming back. as for removing them, Al Gore invented brooms for a reason. You get in there and sweep out those fucking spiders!

Edit: Louisville Slugger would work as well

What are you looking for a pet or something that will kill them.

CATS, My cats are ruthless spider, bug, and other vermin hunters (not that we get vermin that often) they find a spider they will wait for it to come down the wall far enough, or pounce off the back of something knock the fucker off the wall, chew it up and spit a ton of slobber and legs

                      naw dude, naw.

Find a cat in your neighborhood at night, steal it, put it in the mud room, add dish of water and return in the morning to satisfied cat... hopefully.

Burn the house/mud room down. Problem solved.

But seriously, you could try something like this:

It's a Westfield thing, I have the spider issue here in late summer as well. We have bats in the woods and it doesn't help, I also have a good amount of dragon flies that cut back on my mosquito issue.

1 problem with spiders indoors is that when they have no food or water supply, they will bite people. like when you're sleeping. spider bites can be nasty.
