What is wrong with my vintage pioneer?

Well, i recently found a full 80's pioneer silver face hi-fi laying around. It all works apart from the amplifier. One of these:

A pioneer sa-740. This amplifier is one of those amps that had electronic input selection swiches unlike other amps that had those with the ''mechanical'' touch like my nad 3020.

Well, it's problem comes from here and, because this electronic system is more complex than the old school mechanical, i am really clueless on where is the godammned problem.

You turn it on, tape light comes on

But it's like the tape button was stuck, so when you select another input source

Unless you hold the input source button on, it will always return to tape mode

And there will be no sound what so ever. I think if you held the button long enough it would stay working but not for long.

    Can anyone help me?

Take it to a repair place, or buy a new one?

I took off the faceplate and each swich has alot of connections. It is essencially a circuit board.

I would try and find a more specialized forum on this topic. ;) Not that r3v isn't filled with 80's stereo gurus. . .

I have already searched for schematics but this amplifier is not very documented.
