So I'm taking a Psychology 101 class this semester...

and the teacher seemed pretty chill during the first day... He said straight up to not buy the text, and if you did, return it... He wrote his own text... Well, I am sitting here getting ready to read chapter 1 before class tomorrow, and I figured the first couple sentences of his own text were worth sharing...

"Psychology is the most fantabulous field of study amoung all of the academic disciplines. Oh yes, it is better than math or biology, chemistry, physics (surprise, surprise), religion, literature, philosophy, business, anthropology, sociology, languages, art or even computer stuff. Yes, it is number one. Why? Because it rocks. Need I say more? Yes, I do."

and it goes on... He warned us he's not an english major so the spelling and punctuation might be off from time to time, but I figured this would be a sweet class lol..

Psych 101 was pretty fun when I took it. I think that because its meant to cover a broad spectrum of the field its easiest to pick some of the more interesting cases and make it a more interesting course.

I love psychology, I study serial killers for a hobby. Kinda weird I know, I just cannot understand what would make a human do such things.

My current GF has a major in psychology, it is a lot of fun throwing ideas back and forth.

Fulfill a requirement so I can graduate lol.... I had no real interest in Psychology going into this, didn't really know what it was... My goals for school lie in medicine.

Too bad, it is honestly quite amazing. I was thinking about going back to college to do that. But being a shrink does not sound all that fun.

What kinda medicine? My lady is in research, the psychology was just for fun

Nothing specific in mind.... I have a steady hand, developed it when I became a certified TIG welder, doing some small scale, precision stuff, so I figured surgery.. But, that's a top echelon thought.

Nope, MD. I'm doing some clinical research now, which I think will give me the extra bump I need (or that they think I need). Medical school acceptance/matriculation rates in the US are 1-2%.
