Anything. I suggest you plug a cable in, and not run wireless, unless the router is next to the PS3. Then that negates the need for a router.

My wireless is 65+ft away, and my PS3 does not keep a connection. I need to buy a section of cat5.

My Linksys WRT160N pisses me off for gaming. It has a self selecting NAT in it and is a POS to get around.

Plus their customer service sends you directly to India. It is very difficult to get any support. Plus, if you own am apple computer they claim they will need to setup the router remotely and charge you a bogus $20 or something. Fuck them.

The cable modem is right on the entertainment center in the living room, but only only one output.

I can run a cable to it, can I get the equivalent of a "splitter" like you do for cable?

Just buy a wireless router, run a ethernet cable directly to the PS3, and use the wireless for your/visitor's laptops. That's what I do.

Yeah, you just need a router. You don't even NEED it to be WiFi.

You don't have a router? You need to get one. Any will work, you don't need one specifically for the ps3.

We run a netgear router for out ps3. We sometimes run up to three computers at the same time playing and it works great. It's the white one.

Have you made a purchase from www.blunttech.com recently?

my $65 linksys wireless worked flawlessly from the basement to my room upstairs.

I have since moved the modem and have a hard connection, shit is so cash.

also, do u have a psn id? Getting ready for gt5, about to order my g27

I realize that, it was more of a "What is a good/best router to get?"

One with two hard lines out and WIFI would be best.

                          Any specific suggestions?

I've had this one for three years, cost me 62.99 back then.

LOVE IT. Fairly easy to setup, has been incredibly solid, and no dropped connections EVER.

I have the apple AirPort Extreme, it was the best way to solve all my wireless network issues a few years ago.
