There are easy and cruelty free ways to put down unwanted pets, there is absolutely no reason for something like that. Growing up we had to put down our own pets a couple times for different reasons like cancer or born with a bad defect but there are many ways to do it so the animal feels nothing. I'm no bleeding heart but that is a special kind of fucked up to enjoy being cruel to animals.
