    hey man if you really want to do it, i'm sure you will. that being said, IMO, thats 2200 for the e30. If i had 2200 layin around for my POS car, i'd be a happy man lol.

    why throw away bmw money to dump on a merc anyway? lol. make sure you get something you'll be happy with..

    Here is my thought. 380SL when they are not having weird expensive fuel injection problems. Sagging spring issues. Not to mention subframe bushings issues. They still are not fun to drive. The parts are crazy expensive, and it cannot move out of it's own way. If I wanted to spend that kind of money, I would at least buy something that is cool and fun to drive when it is all sorted. Like a 2002, 911, E21, E12, etc.

    Dude, I think the M42 is actually fast compared to the 380. I'm suspect that my kick-down isn't working properly, but it's REALLY slow.

    If you love restoring cars, go for the 2002. It'll be a lot more fun in the end.
