I can't wait to build a 12" or 15" home theater sub. I want the depth charges in U571 to crack the foundation.
It will go nice with the Peerless (with BG Neo3 PDR tweets) 2.5 way TWW I'll have as my towers and a horizontal MTM as my center.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

Subs sound so much better in pair and give more impact. I have two subs, powered by a 200wpc ADCOM 5500, right behind my sofa, with crossover at 60Hz. It gives a nice foundation to any music, and it's great for movies. Low vibrations also take your sofa apart... ;-) and make your behind shake. Superb physical "rendering" of film soudtracks.
I am currently building four more subs.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

Two subs would be nice, but I'm not sure our living room size needs two subs or if I'd have the space for two properly sized sub boxes.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

I am a devoted Kef fan. Therefore I use vintage 12" B300 units. I have 8 of them. If you are serious about bass, I suggest to spend a weekend on the net reading articles about horn oaded subwoofers and the acoustoc principles in general. I have been building speakers for 30 years and I still learn everyday. Don't be shy to experiment, that's where the fun is. Never settle on your first attempt. Build a few designs and compare their qualities and pitfalls. And BTW, for serious bass, pick drivers that are 12" and over.
