Ok from the top. I bid on a set of wheels for the wifes car on ebay. Listed as mint. Pix look a little less than mint. I sent an email. Seller did not respond. I win the wheels. Before I pay i ask again you say they are mint. No rash peeling ext. Now the story changes. they are peeling and are not mint. So I say I don't want them. They are not MINT. end of story.
Seller calls my work spiting the F bomb. I think he deserves a little R3V payback. He has re-listed the wheel and changed the description.

He also listed Me by name in his ad as a dead beat bidder. I will get eBay to remove it, as this is all very well documented with emails.

Good news is that ebay will suck your dick. They are all about screwing over the seller to please the buyer these days. You're fine. You entering into a legally binding contract with the seller when you hit the "subbmit bit" button, and you got out of it with out paying a single dime. The seller lost that money, and other bidders that were interested in the wheels now know something is up - and will bid less most likely.

It's kinda hard to complain when you're on the winning end. Right?

Which is why I have all but stopped selling on ebay. I basically just sell my cheap shit that is one step away from the garbage for $10. Especially now that they own paypal and will delay payment for a month for 100% feedback sellers with no history of abuse. They did that when I sold a $500 lens and while I didnt get fucked it showed that I could easily be fucked out of a lens and $500.

Problem is I just cant bring myself to advertise that I have expensive shit in my possession on Craigslist. It just seems too fucking random.

I have been buying and selling on ebay for years. Its a two way contract. He voided the contract when he changed the description. He would not be out any money if he was not a DICK. we could have agreed to part ways I would have left him good feedback and ebay would have refund his listing fees. But he choose the scum bag route.

a.) you can't change the listing after selling it. Maybe the second auction he re-worded it cause of your reaction - but there is no bait and switch allowed. The web site just doesn't allow for it.

b.) This is one of the better ebay auctions. He has pictures of every wheel face, side shots, inside the wheel. I can clearly see the clear coat pealing on one of the pictures. And this is the auction you bid on. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't think the seller is in the wrong here at all. I think you are. How could you NOT see the condition of the wheels. On top of that, you wasted the sellers time, and bids. Now he has to wait for them to sell again. Money delayed in getting to you, is money lost.

The fact you didn't pay him AND left negative feedback - It's one of the things that's wrong with ebay. You've fucked him in the ass, and then suckered punched him too. And now you want us to attack him? Wow - I think you need to step off and reconsider. Just my 2 cents.

Maybe his choice of "MINT" wasn't the best. But can you blame the guy for it when he posted such clear pictures? I don't think so. It's a whole different story with all those pics.
