There isn't much of a presence here either-- I meant that on the national administration scale the LDS is extremely involved in how Scouts is run, and it's the worse because of it.
Still proud of being a scout. Not thrilled at all with the organization.Comment

also the Official: I got into the Rutgers School of Business with a 3.5 GPA and Eagle scout and the other guy with a 3.9 didnt.Comment

shows you don't know anything about the effort it takes to be an eagle
it still means a lot to many, including prospective employers

well. with lds on board, ive been seing 13-14 yr old eagles. dont know how.
Im not an eagle, nor was i ever a scout (although i always wanted to be one).. But I have spent the last 3 years working for a great scout camp, and now im running the best scouting rock climbing high adventure program on the east coast. (quite possibly anywhere)
i do support the ideals in scouting and i love taking the scouts out climbing some of the best they can have.Comment

Yeah my friend's Dad said when he moved from his hometown to another place the only troop in his new town was a LDS one. He sais it was like... you made a PB&J? Oh then heres the cooking merit badge...
LDS troops have like eigth grade life? WTF my scoutmaster is ex military and crazy about uniform, and everything. He is a greatguy and commits everyday to scouts.
