03/04 R6 is beastly and can still run with the 06+ bikes in good hands.

CBRs are alright... Really can't go wrong either way though.

Drop me a PM if you register for a day.
    good to know, thanks man

I used to have a similar R1 like yours and loved it, as well as an FZR, so I'll prob lean towards the R6, I love my CBR but i'd like to have another yami in the stable

An SV is a good choice, but honestly I'd get a 600. For the money you'll spend on a GSXR fork and upgraded rear shock, there are many I-4's out there that will be better out of the box for less cash. For 2500-3000 you should be able to get an 03-05 model year track bike.

I'd post pictures, but I'm too cheap to buy them.

I've been doing every track day I can get my hands on this year, and it's been awesome. Pulling double duty as a control rider helps out a lot too. My bike needs some work though... I've developed a front end chatter under heavy braking.

I'm also considering selling the E30 to buy a 2nd gen Tuono. I think I might do it...

Perfect day today. 75 and sunny . Rode mine over to a local show. It was 99% cars but they had a small corral for bikes. Not too many nice days left to ride

Fucking hell. I'm trying to buy a 2nd-gen Aprilia Tuono, but every seller keeps flaking out on me. Aprilia owners are so far the most indecisive people I've ever met.

                Someone buy my damn car.

anymore info on the swingarm swap? is that from a gsxr600? I'm not sure the the 550 and the 650 are the same distance at the pivot but any info is helpful.

also more info on how you did the monoshock? my bike is already monoshocked but im not sure what the best way of going about thte new one is
That swingarm is from a 2007 gsxr 1000. It's a pretty straight forward swap. I was able to make reducer bushings to adapt the swingarm to the frame with virtually no modification to the frame other than cutting a few brackets off and grinding one of the foot peg staubs for chain clearance.

After talking about vfrs, on this thread alone, I finally got my own 98'. In cali, its riding season year round so I might be heading up for some long hauls during winter break hopefully up the central coast. Next on the list is bags, led lights and a damn vfrness to clean up the famous electrical gremlins.
