Here's my current desktop. For some reason the reds came out looking really bad, I don't know why, they don't look like that in person. Might not be that way for everyone.

How do you like Linux? I just started trying it out myself (Kubuntu 7.10 and hopefully Linux MCE later on). Definitely interesting and different than XP; but, it's still like Chinese to me.

OK, I'm not E30Matt, but I run Ubuntu 7.10 at work. I love it, and it's a huge improvement over 7.04. It's honestly one of the nicest Linux-based OS's I've dealt with. If you have some computer knowledge and some patience, you can really get Ubuntu setup so well, you'll never look back to Windoze. I still have Vista Business running on my work laptop and I'm just about ready to wipe it and go to Ubuntu as well.

Here's the only real advice I give.... If you have an ATI video card, ditch it and get an NVidia. It's so much easier. You *can* get the ATI to work, but it's just a real PIA.

I'm still new to Linux, only been using it inside of a month on the laptop. It's really starting to grow on me though, it's WAY more stable and infinitely more customizable than XP, plus my 1.5 Celeron laptop feels like a fucking supercomputer running it.

Thumbs up, I think I'll keep it on there for a while, at least until I pick up a Macbook Pro and chuck that thing in the garbage.

Hemingway said it best. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games.”
