This is a question for the few search gurus we have here on r3v. Does anyone know a way to find goverment records mostly concerning marrage/death/criminal ect.. records? I know there are a few websites that say they can search them but your paying for it, so I want to know if those are reliable or not.

Depends on the city/state/country and what type of record you are looking for. Are you looking for Canadian records?Comment

No I'm looking for American records. I am actually looking for records of myself. Depends on the type of records. Most things like marriage, births and deaths are kept with the county at the county clerk's office. Just give them a call with what you're looking for and they will point you in the right direction.Originally posted by Matt-BComment
