    Anyone playing F1 2010?

I've been playing the shit out of this game.

I like the aspect of taking one of the backmarker teams and developing them over a few years to turn it into a title contender.

Currently trying to do that with HRT, in the middle of season 2, 2nd in the drivers points.

How are the physics? Because I've heard they are horrible and when it rains it feels about the same when its dry.

i have this game, and If your on the proper tires in the wet, you do have plenty of grip, but not as much compared to running slicks in the dry. if you try to drive in the rain on slicks you will hydroplane in the first fast corner.

Overall i like this game, the graphics are great, it is challenging, and fun.

Physics are good, you can actually use the kerbs unlike the last F1 game on PS3.

There is definitely much less grip in the wet even with right tires and the downforce cranked up.

I do cheat and play with ABS and TC on though. Super hard to drive without them, especially on a controller. That and I'm trying to have fun, not be Schumacher of thr game world.

The game is pretty fun. I did a 2 hour race today and enjoyed it. I play on the PC and have a wheel to use, definitely a plus for racing games. As far as realism, this game is not as hardcore as actual racing sims like the GTR series, playing with no traction control or ABS is still pretty mild in this game, you basically never lock your brakes and it is very hard to spin the car out. It's still fun to play though, it is not completely outrageous like the NFS series.. Overall, I like it, it's real enough to not feel like total bullshit and keep me interested.

Other complaints: No linux client, rage. Have to use Windows Onlive service to handle game saves and stuff, so incredibly annoying. Oh well, the only thing I ahve to use Windows for is games so I will bear with it....

I'm halfway through season 1 with Lotus, doing it on expert with a controller. Its possible to get by without any of the aids like TC and ABS, but took me about two or three solid days just to get used to it, longer til I was kinda competitive.

I like how on the hardest difficulty you can't win with the worst car (I'm still about 2-3 secs a lap off the red bulls), my best race finish is 8th, which is still a bit unrealistic but I'm happy enough with that. (or maybe I'm just awesome?? haha)

The things that piss me off are no matter what you do in time trial mode almost all of your laps will be invalidated, the physics are a bit off - if you're in a spin just brake and counter turn and you'll swing right back round to the right way - and the lighting seems a bit off to me. Graphics are pretty good though (on 720p, 576p looks like ass!)

The games cool and all but no split times and fake AI really kills it.

One thing that really bothers me is braking. You cannot spin the car by braking in a corner, you just start to understeer. If you are turning hard and slam the brakes the car should spin out.

^Yeah, but you have to make the game driveable.

That's why reading this kinda of shit about realism cracks me up. Do you guy not remember Richard Hammond trying to drive an F1 car? He couldn't even get it out of the pit lane.
