I went a lot lower on my springs just now the car was far to stiff. I couldn't even use the curbs. i went to 8kg in the front to 11.5 kg outback. Really helped out a lot.

I unlocked the ring in three variations so I am not sure if we can all race on it online.

I have the nords tourist, and the full ring set up. I didn't get all gold's though so I am still missing the 24h set up.

^ and camber looks bitchin. I woiuld set mine in gt4 on my caterham 7 to like 10 degrees front and 12 back and look in awe at the awesomeness. Haha

My Z4 settings are prett good, the car handles well but under heavy braking understeers bad. Hmm I have the most horsepower out ofa everybody though (I think)? That should help.

On my 135i I have the front toe to -1.00 rear toe is in at 0.30.

    Rear springs are at 14.5kg
    Front springs are at 11.3kg
    Front sway is at 2
    Rear sway is at 7
Camber on the front is at -4.5 degress
Rear camber is at -5.0 degrees

I run into problems with the compression and extension settings I usually don't mess with those to much. They are at 5 all of them. If I turn them up the car becomes very skittish.

If your wondering why my camber is so high, check out those WTCC cars they run around -5 degrees on their set ups.

It would be great if this was included but at this point it only looks like you can just view your friends cars. I love the game but it really feels like they are working on GT6 for PS4 or whatever and they decided to drop us GT5 in the meantime. It just feels like a lot of small details that were in previous games were overlooked.

The way I understand it oversteer/understeer are functions of friction coefficient (tire grip/road conditions) , roll stiffness, and overall balance.

If you get a car that is well balanced coupled with tires that grip well, the rest of the magic comes by way of balancing front/rear roll stiffness and driver ability. Increasing the actual stiffness of the chassis, sway bar stiffness, and spring stiffness are ways to increase roll stiffness. More roll stiffness in the rear = tendency to oversteer , more roll stiffness in front = tendency to understeer. This is just a general concept and there is much more to it (static and dynamic camber/tire contact patch is a huge part as well) but this is just how I understand it. Someone please correct me if anything I said is utter bullcrap.

Ideally you would have everything balanced and even which would make the car very predictable and would toss you no suprises

What kind of suspension set-ups were you fast guys using?
It seems like sometimes the game doesnt save your tuning and tire settings. Sometimes I will enter a lounge and it sets me back to default tires and doesnt save my suspension and gear settings from the previous sessions.

As for tuning. The default settings can be improved upon a lot. I am getting some really sharp turn in and neutral handling with soft front springs / front sway bar, lots of front camber, stiff rear springs/ rear sway bar and a little bit of rear camber to combat the impending oversteer from such a setup. You need to correct the toe and diff lockup settings to stabilize it under hard braking though otherwise you will certainly lose control when you go hard on the brakes. You just need to find the settings that work well with your driving style.

Performing the chassis restoration thing in GT Auto killed my tuning settings. The front roll stiffness increased a lot after performing it, which lead me to the drastic front/rear spring/sway bar differences.

So it sounds like everyone had the same issue as me, connection problems. I (jaykruze, in the laguna z4) was decently connected then right at 9:55 I couldn't get on, it actually crashed my router then I quit trying, I still want in!

btw the trick to Daytona is just early braking on the straight and then throttle into the turn and brake again right before the apex.

I'm on the search for a wheel... controller combined with no time to put a decent set-up on the car was giving me problems with steering. Z4 with what I had on it liked to push. a lot! I need to spend some time tuning this thing to get it handling right. Or at least turn....AIAt least all the server problems allowed me enough time to go do a few races and win enough money to buy some racing tires... That first 'non-race' at Daytona was terrible on the Sports tires against all u guys..

TG TT was awesome. WAY different than in the VW's.... LOL!

I was hitting my e brake to let others catch up, it gets boring driving by yourself.
