well you have to think of wheelbase and width and all of that stuff to get something similar you could go on forever about suspension geometry and brakes too.....so on and so forthComment

It's a video game. It uses a total of about 10 vehicle models overall. The power output is the same, the gearing is the same with what I gave it. It mimics an e30 nicely.Originally posted by nefarious7907well you have to think of wheelbase and width and all of that stuff to get something similar you could go on forever about suspension geometry and brakes too.....so on and so forth

i think they punch in a few more than 11 base models for which all the others are created. but i do know that most sports cars follow the same formula for wheel base(~103) and width the same weight and height.Comment

Sorry, there's not a "Make the car louder" button or a "Placebo effect" adjustment.Originally posted by E30ownerwithanopinionI have a cone air filter on my E30 what settings do i have to tweak to emulate this?

Bring this one back from the dead. Run the rear sway bar up to 7, run N3 sim tires up front and N2 in the rear and you have an e30 dead on.

 Rock it.

As for mimicking the 318is, I tried using a '91 Miata for a while - it had fairly accurate shift points with a sport gearbox, but the handling didn't really feel right. Recently I've been trying the (old) Alfa GTA. As far as video games go, it feels pretty close to a 318is, it has that twitchy feel to it. Weight is way off, but that can be adjusted, as well as power of course. The redline and shift points are near perfect, and it doesn't sound unlike the M42 either. It's fun to drive even though it's slow.sigpicComment
