Exactly. An american version would be tamed and niceified. Girl with the dragon tat worked because it was brutal and unforgiving towards its characters. Almost no american movies are willing to do this. David Fincher (Se7en) would though, now that i think about it.

I just finished the last book, havent seen the movies yet. I'm almost always dissapointed with the movies though, and that's not at all what I pictured Lisabeth looking like....


I guess there is a 4th book too, Steig's defacto wife (they never got married, but lived together for many years) is trying to get it published...

Dude, I fucking love this series, My long term girlfriend is hardcore swedish, so her family has takeny me to sweden before, and shit like that, so It was really fun to see this movie after checking out the country.

its a great movie too, steigg larson is a badass

Girl with the dragon tattoo is the first and the best - so far. Fire was weak.

They WILL be remaking these into american versions, mark my words.
