Headed to Portland for a long weekend

After two years of promising my buddy/neighbor from high school that I would come visit him in Oregon I finally booked a ticket for Halloween weekend. I arrive tonight and plan to go out to dinner, have a few drinks and chill for the rest of the night. Now my only real plans are going to see Lotus on Saturday the 30th. What does R3V recommend for good places to eat or things I must do while in Portland. I know I would be down to see some sick E30s but I know it's a long shot.

The mcmenamins places are pretty cool if you haven't been to them before.

Kennedy School for eating/talking, Candlelight club for classic blues bar invaded by college kids. Zoo/rose garden/MAX line is cool for more of a family thing.

Sandy blvd for whores, WAY better than McLaughlin or Burnside.

            Closing SOON!

Haha yeah, Portland has more strip clubs per capita than any other city. They're everywhere. Acrop is the shit.

Acrop is worth going just for the food.

Last Time I was at the Acrop a stripper had overdosed or something and was being carted off in a stretcher out the back door. As soon as the door shut, the music came back on and everything went back to normal. I went back to eating my Steak Bites.

Visit the Pittock Mansion for the best view of Portland.

Purchase tickets here, before your visit. Built in 1914, Pittock Mansion tells the story of Portland’s transformation from pioneer town to modern, industrialized city through the history of one its most influential families, the Pittocks.

Lots of good places to eat and drink on 23rd. We were there for a wedding this summer and stayed at "The Nines" swanky as shit especially by portland standards.
